CCY Mission
The Country Club of York (the “CCY” or “we” or “us” or “our”) is a private country club whose mission is to continually strive to be the go-to club in our region by providing best in class family-centric dining, social, wellness and sporting related activities while maintaining the architectural standards of our nationally recognized Donald Ross golf course.
CCY Website Development
In furtherance of its mission, CCY has developed a CCY Website (the “Website” or the “CCY Website”) and mobile device applications (the “Apps”) (the Website and the Apps collectively referred to herein as the “Services”).
CCY Website Privacy Statements
CCY recognizes the importance of maintaining the privacy of information of both CCY members and non-members who access the Services. This privacy policy statement (“Privacy Statement”) demonstrates our commitment to protecting the privacy of the information described below and explains the privacy policies and procedures of CCY.
This Privacy Statement governs the privacy practices and procedures of CCY with respect to the data it collects from both CCY members and visitors to the CCY Website and Apps. The data CCY collects may be merged by CCY management with offline data in furtherance of the mission and policies established by CCY.
Consent to CCY Website Practices and Procedures
By using the Website, or downloading an App, as applicable, you are consenting to the practices and procedures as described in this Privacy Statement. If you do not agree with the practices and procedures described in this Privacy Statement, please discontinue using all of the Services and follow the applicable procedures described in the Opt-Out section of this Privacy Statement.

CCY Website Access to the Services
Access to the Services differ materially between CCY members and non-members who access the Services. Non-members who access the Services are restricted from gaining access to Services which are provided exclusively to CCY members. Moreover, certain member information is “pass-word” protected for each member such that other CCY members are restricted from accessing another member’s information that is personal to a member. However, such “pass-word” protected information of a CCY member is accessible by
CCY management and, in certain instances, to other CCY members.
PART II: WHAT INFORMATION DOES CCY COLLECT?
CCY collects two types of information from users of the Services: (1) personal information that can be used to specifically identify or contact an individual and as provided by such individual either through the Website or the App (“Personal Information”); and (2) non-personal information collected, for example, as you interact with our Services that cannot, in itself, be used to specifically identify or contact an individual (“Non-Personal Information”).
Personal Information: Members
When a Member uses the Services, the member has access to (1) information regarding the Club which is accessible by all members and (2) information which is restricted to that member, similar to a private portal.
Member access to such information is restricted by both member access name and member login which is case sensitive.
We may also collect the following information from Members:
- Name and job title or suffix.
- Contact information including email address.
- Demographic information such as addresses, other contact information, preferences and
interests. - Other information relevant to member and non-member surveys and/or offers.
Personal Information: Non-Members
When a non-member uses any of the Services, he or she may be asked to provide or otherwise choose to provide Personal Information, depending upon the areas of interest selected by the User:
- Homepage – Name, Email address, phone number and request for information or statement
of interest. - CCY Membership – First Name, Last Name, Email Address and How did you hear about
the Country Club of York - Weddings and Banquets: Name, Email address, How did you hear about the Country Club
of York, Type of event, Estimated Number of Guests, Preferred Date of Event, Flexibility
of Date and Additional Notes.
Through the Services, CCY does not request personal financial information such as credit card information, social security numbers or taxpayer employer identification numbers.
PART III: HOW DOES CCY USE MY INFORMATION?
Members and Non-Members
CCY uses the information it collects (including Personal Information and Non-Personal Information) primarily to understand your needs, provide you with better products and services, and deliver the specific product, service, or information you requested.
Members
We may use your information to communicate back to you, to update you on products and services, to personalize your experience on the Services, to tailor displays to you on our Services and elsewhere to your interests and history with us, to contact you for market research or to provide you with marketing information, newsletters, or other information we think would be of particular interest. We may also use the information we collect to send you e-mails about CCY news, announcements, or changes to the Services.
If, as a member, you do not want to receive promotional e-mails from CCY, please notify us by following the procedures contained in our promotional e-mails or in the “Opt-Out” section of this Privacy Statement.
Information obtained through the Services (including both Personal Information and Non-Personal Information) may be combined and used in conjunction with information obtained through sources other than the Services or at different times, including both offline and online sources. CCY and our representatives may use this combined information to enhance and personalize your various experiences with us on and in connection with the Services.
From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customize the website according to your interests, internal record keeping and to improve our products and services.
Depending on your profile settings (if applicable), CCY may display your profile to other CCY members to enable CCY members to connect with each other.
Non-members
We may use your information to communicate back to you in response to your inquiries. Sharing with Third Parties. CCY does not share your information with third parties except with your prior written consent or as a matter of law.
PART IV: HOW DOES CCY USE COOKIES?
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. From each of its promotional e-mails, CCY also enables you to opt-out of receiving future promotional emails from CCY.
Please understand that if you opt-out of receiving promotional correspondence from us, we may still contact you in connection with your relationship, activities, transactions and communications with us.
